Finding your hardware address: Android

As there are several actively used versions of Android, we cannot provide instructions for them all. However, you can follow the instructions below to find your hardware address on a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the most popular Android phone in the world in 2016 (source).*:

  1. From the Home screen, select "Apps" and then select "Settings".
  2. Scroll down and choose "About phone" or "About Device".
  3. Select "Status".
  4. You will find the “Wi-Fi MAC Address” for your device on this screen.

*If this article doesn’t help you find the hardware address on your device, you may have better luck through Google by searching "find hardware address on xyz" where xyz is the exact name of your Android device.
