The Stanford Secure network encrypts all data from your device to the access point (router) it is connected to. In order to connect to this network you'll need to install a certificate onto your device. Your device must be registered in the Stanford network database before you can register it for the Stanford Secure Wireless network.
From any registered Mac, Windows, iOS, or Android device, you can download and install the proper certificates by following the instructions at: uit.stanford.edu/service/wirelessnet/securewireless
Once the certificates are installed, you can connect to Stanford Secure where ever it is available throughout the campus and on-campus residences.
Note: Devices that cannot install the required certificate (e.g., set-top box, gaming consoles, etc.) cannot connect to the "Stanford Secure" network.
