The Peer Technology Specialist team works closely with Stanford University IT to provide the best network support possible. When the network technicians look at the log of the data, there are a lot of data points to search through.
In order to streamline the process for all students and faculty dealing with network issues, we ask that you provide timestamps such that our network technicians can pinpoint the moment of issue efficiently to provide you with solutions as soon as possible. When we receive the timestamps, we can then focus the search to times when your network connection is actually experiencing issues and understand what is causing them specifically. We only ask for timestamps when absolutely necessary and we believe it is the most efficient path of troubleshooting the issue you are experiencing.
